( Image Source : Comfreak ) According to DM Vadodara, it is the first ever city in our Country, to develop and implement the Rain Water Harvesting project which comes under 'Varsha Jal Nidhi' Project. Last August (2019), Vadodara faced so many difficulties and floods. “Last year, there were huge floods in Vadodara. It was the worst flood witnessed in the last 30 to 35 years and the whole city was submerged. Even after the floods, there were complaints of drinking water and I was very disturbed by the wastage of this water,” - DM Vadodara to Media. Today only 8% of Water is being harvested.
